Right now Japan has the lowest birth and marriage rate in the world. I’ve been married to a Japanese woman for 29 years now and we spend a lot of time together. Leaving one’s home country is difficult for anyone, I found that when I moved to japan. The same way when my wife moved with me back to the US.
