Russian women may desire to leave their home country, but they don’t have to. Don’t think that what looks like a goddess will settle for any old slouch. If you think she’s hot, so does every man in her hometown.

What kind of man should you be to meet the needs, dreams, and desires of a Russian woman?

1. A Pleasant Manner.

She can be in 5 inch heels and dressed in the latest fashion, but chivalry and good manners on your part can get the train moving in the right direction.

This is not rocket science. Say please and thank you. Pull out a chair or open a door. If you don’t know what to do, watch old movies and see how it was done in the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

2. Intelligence.

You don’t need your Ph.D. to date Russian women, but at least know what is going on in the world. Show some interest in her country, and be able to share knowledge about your home.

Chances are, your Russian woman is better educated than you are, with or without a college degree. She has likely been exposed to more music, history, culture, and art than you will see in a lifetime.

Impress her anyway. And think about how smart your kids will be.

3. Self-Confidence.

Confidence comes from within as a result of a lifetime of good habits and good decisions. Show it off with a winning smile and a good sense of humor. Confident does not mean bragging and showing off. Quiet confidence will impress her, and maybe make her your wife.

Expect success. Show her that you have standards too. You expect the woman you marry to be a woman of culture and grace.

4. Sensitivity.

No one respects someone who treats others badly. No bullying.

Be kind and polite at all times. No one ever won a Russian woman’s heart by showing a mean streak. She has a lot at risk. Stories abound about trusting women who were taken advantage of.

Don’t pass up opportunities to show kindness and understanding. This is a courtship process, not a contract. It costs nothing to be kind, lend a helping hand, or share a joke.

5. Optimism and Respect.

For heaven’s sake, don’t compare or disparage her country or culture. You are there to learn all you can about her. You will not get to the truth without showing respect.

Most American men jump to the subject of sex too quickly. No woman wants to feel cheap or used or disrespected.

Shelve inappropriate language. If you are conversing in English, keep to simple terms whenever possible. Her English may be good, but it’s still a second language.
